Privacy policy

What this tool does

Icontest is a single-shot icon diagnostic. You provide a public URL; the tool fetches the page, extracts icon declarations, and requests each icon URL to report its HTTP status, format, and dimensions. That is the entire function.

Data collected

When you submit a URL to be checked, that URL is sent to the Icontest API endpoint (POST /api/check). The API fetches the page and its declared icons over HTTP(S). No URL, page content, or icon content is stored on any server after the response is returned. No logs of scanned URLs are retained by the API.

No account, no cookies, no tracking

Icontest does not offer accounts, sessions, or user profiles. The site does not set cookies, use localStorage for any purpose related to user tracking, or load third-party analytics or tracking scripts. No personal information is collected, requested, or transmitted.

Data shared with third parties

None. The tool fetches pages and icons directly from their origin servers using the Cloudflare Workers runtime. No data is forwarded to any third-party service. The Cloudflare platform itself processes the request in transit but does not store the URL or response content beyond what is necessary to complete the request.

Data retention

There is no database, no log file, and no persistent storage attached to this service. A URL submitted for scanning exists only in the request-response cycle of a single HTTP call. Once the response is delivered, no record remains. The scan results are displayed in your browser and are not saved server-side.

Your rights

Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or export. If this policy changes in the future to include data collection, those rights will apply and this page will be updated.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the revision. No separate notification will be sent because the service has no mechanism to contact users.
